Mt. Zion Baptist Church–National Day of Prayer
The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May, inviting people of all faiths to pray for the nation. It was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress, and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman. The mission of the National Day of Prayer Task Force is to mobilize prayer in America and to encourage personal repentance and righteousness in the culture.
This year marks the 60th annual observance of the National Day of Prayer. An evening service will held at Mount Zion Baptist Church, 1301 Alamance Church Rd., Greensboro, NC on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. This service will be a partnership between Calvary Christian Center, Mount Zion and World Vision International Christian Center. The theme for this year is Psalm 91:2 – “I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
The Arts & Drama Ministry invites you witness “I AM” in their 14th Annual Arts & Drama Recital. Come join us on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 3:00PM in the Sanctuary as the Dance, Step and Mime ministries show their gifts and talents along with other guests ministries.
